Ah, yes, finally Thursday and this week’s Thrifty Thursday is a special one for all you incoming college freshman or students heading back to school! When packing all your stuff for school you notice just how many t-shirts you have. Well instead of throwing them out, you can recreate them into something amazing! So check out these DIY projects and get to work!

Check out these decorative pom poms! So clever and feminine, no one would ever guess you made them from old t-shirts! Place them at the door, or decorate your dorm room with them! Could be a great activity to get to know your new roommates/floormates!

Nothing says chic and sophisticated like a bright and colorful shag pillow! A great way to add some unique decor to your room, everyone who stops by will be asking where you bought it!

And last, but certainly not least, you’re going to need a new comforter for college. So why not create one yourself from all of your favorite t-shirts! Have those memories from junior high and high school forever! (Note the shag pillow along with the t-shirt quilt!)
